How should volumes / LUNs be setup to gain maximum benefit from deup in a VMware SAN environment (No of LUNs per volume, space guarantees, reservations, when to de dup etc).

Hi Nael,
FYI - We did an Ask the Expert event about Dedupe in SAN environment -- here is the archive of discussions and documentation shared during the event.

An example:
A 1TB volume with a 950GB LUN both thin – 800GB’s worth of VMs are added to the LUN – Duplication is ran – The 800GB has reduced to 300GB.
How is free space reclaimed in the aggregate?
Does the LUN and volume shrink (from the storage perspective) down to 300 ish GB ??
