lost access permissions on restored CIFS folders from snapshot or ndmp

We keep seeing same permission issues on restored CIFS folders either from snapshots or ndmp backups.

We manually fixed the permissions on restored folder, but all sub-folders and files have different permissions assigned. We used robcopy to restore permissions, but extra one still assigned on all files under, looks it inherited from parent folder. is there any way to overcome this issue?

thanks.

You can change permission on files and folder from the filer.

Please note, this process is not the recommended method for NTFS ACL management. It is recommended to use the Windows 'Security' tab whenever possible. This process should be used when NTFS ACL management is not available via Windows.
