Hi @sfrmast

Basically the related LIF is not configured to failover as per best practice. You can familiarize yourself with how ONTAP handles network interface failover policies by checking out this KB article - https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/Network_interface_failover_policies_-_behavior_and_uses

You can also check out this article on how to configure the failover group correctly, https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/How_to_configure_failover_group_and_targets_via_split_broadcast_domain...

Hope this helps.

hi@sfrmast

you will need to use "network interface modify" to Configure the cluster LIF accordingly to that error message, see https://docs.netapp.com/ontap-9/topic/com.netapp.doc.dot-cm-cmpr-950/network__interface__modify.html
