Hi
I have a disk showing (prefail) in the vol status -r
If I look at the sasadmin dev_stats out put the disk in question shows 45.3K in the cmd error column
A lot of the other disks show 39K in the same column...am I looking at lots of disks heading for prefail?
Thanks for any advice/info

Some handy kbs: (Indeed, that's high number of errors)
Why does a drive show as prefailed in Data ONTAP?

Is firmware up-2-date ?

No worries. I would suggest getting the firmware updated asap (By default, drive firmware is updated nondisruptively on eligible drives automatically in the background.)

Also, get the DQP up to date:
