Team
I am experimenting with snap restore. for example,
- Created a file under /vol/vol_1/ called sumesh.txt
- took snapshot
- deleted file
- tried to do a restore with snap restore and it was successful
Secondly
- created a folder under /vol/vol_1 called test
- created file in test
- deleted the file
- tried to do a restore with snap restore as snap restore -t file /vol/vol_1/test/filename.txt
Selected the snapshot
Then it comes with the following Error
File does not exist in snapshot
Can't we restore a file from snapshot ? please advise

- You cannot use SnapRestore to revert a single file if that file is a directory or a symbolic link, or contains NT streams.

Hi Sanjeev / Team
Thanks a lot. i am aware of this but there are no NTFS streams associated with this. I know both Qtrees and directores can not be restored.
Does Snaprestore allow to restore a single file from a directory?
Secondly, Is there a GUI utility for this?
Thanks
Sumesh
