A250/FAS500f FC initiator Mode X1154

Hi all, 

is there no way to have FC initiator ports on a A250/FAS500f?

There is a PCI Card X1154. The Note Description "Target mode adapter only. Foreign LUN import (FLI) requires initiator mode."

Will the CLI command "system hardware unified-connect modify -t initiator adapter_port" really not work?

I hope anyone can help me...

I checked HWU site for this X1154, it only has Target-only Mode. One workaround would be to have a Non-AFF(Having Initiator Mode Port) joined to A250 as one Cluster, then first bring the LUN into the Non-AFF and from there to A250. Try to look up information around this or you might want to speak with NetApp to see if there is any other ways.

Unfortunately, the driver/firmware for the X1154 FC ports do not support initiator mode, and there is no plan to do so. Hence the footnote in Hardware Universe.
