Aggregate In Place Upgrade to 64-Bit

Hi All,

Just wanted to check the current positon on this. We are running 8.1.2 on a FAS2040. Is it still true that the only supported method of upgrading an aggregate to 64-bit is to add disk to take it beyond 16TB? Is it not possible to add disk but the resulting total size being less than 16TB and still upgrade?

Yes.  The only supported method is to grow over 16TB.  There have been some posts about the unsupported method if you search but I wouldn't run the diag commands on a production system.
