Hello
I'm new to NetApp and wanted to know if it is possible to use disks from DS2246 e.g. X425 1.2TB on DS224C?
Also, what is the difference between DS2246 and DS224C?
Thank you

Yes, these disks are compatible, as specified above.
Supported drive section in HWU for each lists the X425A-R6 drives
Depending on the state and ownership of the disks and the system you will be putting them into, there may be a process to update ownership and clear the drives before use.

DS2246 = 6 designates = 6gbps - max backplane IO SAS Speed of the Shelf
DS224C = 'C' designates = 12gbps - max backplane IO SAS Speed of the Shelf (C represents number '12' in Hexadecimal format).
Both packs 24 drives per enclosure in 2U rack unit size.
According to IMT, DS224C Does show support for - X425A-R6 drive (1.2TB, 10K, BCS)
But, check it yourself:
