Disk Shelf ID Physically Set to 2 but showing as shelf ID 175 in OnTap?

Hi

We just added a new shelf of DS4243 to our FAS3210C.

When I connected the shelf up I didn't realise the Shelf ID was still flashing. I then did a 'disk assign all'.

When I look in the filer (using OnCommand System Manager) now it shows the disks as being having Shelf ID 175.

Have I made a mistake? is this OK?

You can change the shelf ID at any time.  Your aggregates will still be recognized and come back online as if nothing happened.

cf disable

Halt both controllers

Power off the controllers

change the shelf ID

power cycle the shelf

power the controllers back on

cf enable
