FAS 2050 changed disk which isn't accepted as spare now

Hello,

we have a FAS2050 active/active Storage and we had a disk failure last week. I ordered a new disk from Netapp which I received and built in today.

The only problem after i set the disk to be owned is, that the message changed from:

/aggr0_c1/plex0/rg0: Please add spare disks supporting block checksums with minimum size: Used 272000/557056000 (MB/blks). Assign unowned disks.

to

/aggr0_c1/plex0/rg0: Please add spare disks supporting block checksums with minimum size: Used 272000/557056000 (MB/blks).

and now I've got no idea what to do as the raid(4) uses already drives with mixed RPM and the only difference is the Firmware of the disks

I added the current aggregate status as txt file.

Thanks for any help in advance

Gerald

Hi Gerald,

TO correct this message

Go to NOW and then to the Disk Firmware section in the Download menu.

The direct link is https://now.netapp.com/cgi-bin/diskfwmustread.cgi/download/tools/diskfw/bin/all

Howerver you may just need to update the disk qualification packages found here https://now.netapp.com/download/tools/diskqual/. I recommend doing this first.

Please check the community link for more information ( http://communities.netapp.com/thread/17706)
