FAS2020 basics

I'm very new to NetApp - just learning.  I've recently moved in to a project which has a FAS2020.  Yesterday I connected to the controller's serial ports.  Both are at the loader prompt.  I'm still not sure how they are using the device.  Will it effect anything if I tell the controllers to boot?  I just don't want to disrupt operations while I try to learn the device.  🙂

if you see LOADER-A or B ir means ontap has not been even started.

Try typing> boot_ontap

remember, after you finish fooling you shoud >halt both nodes and wait before you see those beautiful loader prompts before powering system down.

After normal shutdown your system will start automatically next time. ..... supposing it is configured and working at all 😄
