ONTAP Hardware
Hi,
We have recently had delivered a FAS2750 and FAS2720. Our hardware installation team have racked and cabled both systems, however on checking the cabling delivered only one of the arrays had a pair of cluster interconnect cables (X6566B-05-R6-C), but they are not sure which of the two came with the interconnects!
According to the original sales quotation, the 2720 had 2 x cluster cables included. The 2750 though had a line in it for an X6566B-05-N-C x 2, is the R6-C and the N-C cables compatible, one and the same thing, maybe just a type in the sales quotation form, and we are actually missing (or mislaid!) a pair of interconnect cables?
For now we've asked our install team to simply grab a couple of spare 10Gb SFP+ and 0.5m cables to interconnect them, will these even work? We won't be turning on the filers until next week so won't know until then.
Thanks,
Andy

Hi there!
X6566 is the part number - the rest of it is ordering and compliance codes for us. So yes, it looks like you've lost a set - each HA pair needs two of them.
You can use any Cisco passive TwinAx cables (as long as they at V02 or newer). Using Optical SFPs is not supported unless they are labelled with one of the following:
332-00279R6
AFBR-703SMZ-NA1
AFBR-703SMZ-NA2
AFBR-709SMZ-NA1
AFBR-709SMZ-NA2
AFBR-710SMZ

Hope this helps!

They are the same cable. HWU can help confirm that...
