Hello,
We are facing to a strange situation. We have a FAS3240 in Multi-Path HA on Ontap 8.1.3P3 7-Mode.
We can see, at console, a lot of error messages “Correctable Machine Check at CPU2. MC3 Error…” and “Correctable Machine Check at CPU3 MC3 Error…”
Strange: These message are not recorded in “/etc/messages”! Why?
Other strange point: At “sysconfig –M” we can see 2 DIMM in slot 1 and 3 but they are physically installed in slot 1 and 2 (good configuration). By cons the 8192 MB are well seen.

Thanks in advance for your help.

DBO

DBO,
What does the command "memerr" show (you will need to "priv set advanced" first)?

(Full disclosure, I'm not a hardware or support person, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before)
It appears to be a hardware issue. If you haven't already, open a support case...they will troubleshoot and replace the part if needed.

Hello Richard, Andrew,
Thanks for your fast answer.
Unfortunately the memerr report no error. I already replaced the 2 DIMM to eliminate a potential memory issue but the problem persist.
Regards,
Dbo
