FAS3270 hot add shelf with newer firmware

Hello all,

i would like to ask if we add a new disk shelf in a FAS3270 storage that has newer firmware that the others shelfs what will happen?

the newly inserted shelf will automatically downgrade it's firmware to the firmware of the other shelfs or it will stay with the newer firmware and we will have to manually upgrade all the others shelf to this release?

any help will be appriciated

The new shelf will stay with the current and the others will require manual upgrade.
