Need Guidance Please...

I am hoping to transition an existing customer from a FAS9K Switchless Fabric MetroCluster to a MetroCluster IP Solution.

  • The existing MetroCluster HA Pairs are switchless(i.e. do not include Cluster Interconnect Switches).
  • The new MetroCluster IP will have the following storage attached per side....

    • 2 x DS224C w/24x7.6TB SSDs
    • 1 x DS460C w/30x10TB 7.2K NL-SAS HDDs

I am trying to determine exactly what Parts/Pieces I need to configure to accomplish the transition.

To be quoted...

FAS9000 Internal

  • Can HA Pair Cluster Interconnect remain switchless?
    • If not, what internal ports, NICS and SFP's must be included?
  • Can I/Should I use the MetroCluster IP Switches as the HA Pair Cluster Interconnect?
    • If so, what SFP's and Cables must be included?

MetroCluster IP

  • I believe that I need 4 x Cisco N9336C FTE 36 Port Switches - PN# X190210-FE-PE
  • How many 100GbE ISL QSFPs do I need?  What PN#?
    • Cables? PN#

What am I missing? Not thinking of?

Thanks,

Joe W.
