How to calculate maximal IOPS based on existing hardware configuration?

Dear All;

Could any one tell me how to calculate maximal IOPS that the NetApp storage system can provide based on existing hardware configuration?

Here is the hardware configuration:

FAS3220HA

- SAS 900G x 60

- SSD 200G x 4 (Per Controller)

It seems that SPM cannot do it.

Thanks a lot for any shared information.

General rule is 176 for 15K and 150 for 10K, IOPS per data SCSI disk.

I believe SSD would be 48000 per data disk.

Thanks Sir.

I just tried SPM many times and found out the IOPS report based on the closed above hardware configuration. I explained to customer that the IOPS report is excluded SSD read/write cache since it depends on how many application data are cached into SSD. So the IOPS is minimum performance that the above hardware configuration can be provided.

In real case, the IOPS should be better because of SSD read/write cache.

Cheers~~
