How to do a proper shutdown ?

Hi,

I've read that the proper way to do a shutdown is to use the halt command. After I did so, I can still ping the BMC. Is it normal ? Can I go ahead and unplug the electrical power on my FAS now ? or do I have to do something to shutdown the BMC as well ?

Hi Benoit

You can switch off  your FAS

Nothing to do

BMC is always available when there is power.

It allows you to start/stop FAS remotely
