Limiting snapmirror bandwith - CPU behavior?

Hello fellow SAN admins, I've got question concerning the CPU behavior when limiting snapmirrors: actually our FAS is facing some CPU issues (over 80% CPU usage constantly), and I was thinking about removing the snapmirror limitation, in order to "discharge" the CPU. Can someone confirm if there's an impact (even minimal) in the CPU when "software-limiting" the snapmirrors? thanks!!

hi

Removing the snapshot mirroring restriction may reduce the CPU usage to a certain extent. However, operations such as snapshot creation, recovery, and replication of data blocks concurrently with other critical tasks of the system occupy CPU resources, which may affect the overall system performance. If the CPU usage exceeds 80%, the system is under high load. In this case, any additional resource overhead may exacerbate the CPU resource strain.
