Netapp FAS2552 error: This platform is not supported in this release. Password needed!

Hello,

Ontap cannot boot. I tried any mode. It comes with  the same error, also backup image or a new image with loaded with netboot.

So i can not get into the Ontap_Bootmenu to change password.

I know about the bug: "For ONTAP 9, this issue is mitigated in SP firmware 2.9P1 and later via this Bug (903158)"

So i want to install 2.11 firmware, but then i need the SP password. (Bootloader ctrl G)

I don't have this password. Is there anyway to reset this password? Maybe on the Bootloader "priv set test"? Or use another account? Anything??

BIOS version: 8.3.0

Bootloader 4.3

SP Firmware: 2.8P1

Not bootable: Ontap 9.5P8 Or backup 9.4P5.

I'll hope you can help.

The problem was in the Chassis! I changed the Chassis and it works like a charm now!

Hi there, if you don't know the password, your only option is to shut the system down entirely, both nodes, and reboot it, and hope for the best.

hello:

If it is an important device, it is recommended that you contact NetApp technical support. This solution requires a diagnostic-level recovery. Using the Diagnostic command and recovery steps may cause interruptions. If it is a less important device, the best approach is to restart the device.

Hope everything goes well for you.

Best regards.
