Network attach servers to AFF A-Series

Can you Network attach a couple of ESXi servers directly, for iSCSI, to an AFF A-Series array?

Direct attachment for iSCSI only is supported - please review this document starting on page 35 - https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/pdfs/sidebar/SAN_configuration_reference.pdf

If you have any other choice, using two switches is a better idea from a management and survivability standpoint.
