Please use the following command on your filer to configure SNMP , also just type snmp on the command line to see the current status of it

snmp options

Options are:

                   (no option => display current settings)

        authtrap   [ 0|1 ]       (0 => disabled, 1 => enabled)

        community  [ add ro <community> ]

        community  [ delete { all | ro <community> } ]

        contact    [ <contact> ]

        init       [ 1 ]         (0 => uninitialized, 1 => initialized)

        location   [ <location> ]

        traphost   [ add|delete <hostname|ipaddress> ]

        traps      [ enable|disable|reset|delete ] [ <trapname> ]

        traps      <trapname>.<parm> <value>

        traps      walk <prefix>

        traps      load <filename>
