Hi Folks,

I am on of those admins who work from offsite and dont have physical access to the Filer.

Can any one tell me whether a FAS3140 Filer has a USB port.

If Yes, then can that be used to transfer data onto a USB HDD?

Regards,

Brikesh

Don't think it does, later models like the 32xx series do.

But even if there is you won't be able to use it as you want. I'm pretty certain, currently, there is no documented purpose for the USB port on a NetApp.

When it was originally released it was listed as a possible future supported way of using it for updates.  There is no support for this but perhaps in a future release one day...not counting on it but could happen.
