I am attempting to create a vif on a FAS2040. There are 4 ethernet ports e0a,e0b,e0c and e0d.
If I create the vif across e0a and e0b, and the bus that services those ports fails, will I lose both e0a and e0b?
Should I create the vif across e0a and e0c? Or are they all sharing the same bus anyway?

You should use e0a + e0c for a channel and e0b + e0d for the other channel.
Yes e0a and e0b run on the same ASIC (as well as e0b+e0d).
Regards
Michael
