All,
we've an application that creates qtrees and shares including security settings that runs for a long time without problems (Windows XP client,...).
Now the customer uses Windows7/W2K8R2 to run the tool. Since then we see that the tool stops because the qtree is not available after creation thru the API.
Our test showed that in an SMB2 environment (SMB2 on the filer enabled - DOT 8.1) it takes up to 4 seconds that a newly created qtree can be accessed
for applying securtiy settings.
cifs.smb2.client.enable |
off |
cifs.smb2.durable_handle.enable off
cifs.smb2.durable_handle.timeout 16m
cifs.smb2.signing.required off
Does anyone have seen this behavior?
Thanks in advance
Marcus
