Greeting, everyone.
Starting with FAS2600 and FAS8200, the controllers come with 2 builtin 10GbE network ports for cluster interconnections. The ports are generally identified as e0a and e0b. In certain situation, if the controller node is to be configured as an intended single-node cluster, or different combination of ports is chosen for cluster interconnections, could the rest of e0a and e0b be used to host data LIFs for NFS connections for instance?
In contrast, it is not allowed for the c0a and c0b on the FAS3200 and FAS6200 to be converted for data usage in the old days.
Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Hello, everyone. I am curious about the differences between the commands "bye", "bye -g", and "boot_ontap" in the LOADER state. For example, after replacing an NVDIMM on an AFF-A700s, we execute boot_ontap, but after replacing an NVDIMM on an AFF-A700, we use bye. I would like to understand the reason behind this difference. Additionally, I would appreciate your advice on the differences between bye and bye -g. Finally, a 1TB disk is installed in the Flash Cache Card Slot on the AFF-A700. However, it is identified as a core dump device rather than serving as a Flash Cache. Is the disk installed in this slot used exclusively for core dump purposes? ::> sysconfig -a output slot 6-1: NVMe Coredump Device Additional Info: 0X917011900207B0SAM00PM17330001T00015000 Serial Number: S5MTNA0T300108 Firmware Version: NA00 Capacity: 894 GB Sector Size: 512B/sect Thank you! have a good day.

Hi All, I just deploy a AFF C250 for the SAN purpose on one of my custom. But I need some technical advise or view on my current setup as after I setup the bos and present the iSCSI and do the failover testing after the iSCSI LUN already present in the VM, the LUN is missing on the server. Here my current NetApp C250 setup and current physical connection. Here is some summary of C250 configuration and also current environment overview. Customer network overview and connection Management and ISCSI LIF is in the same network segment NetApp C250 node is connected to Cisco C9300 switch - for management (e0M) and iscsi LIF (e0a) Both Cisco C9300 have uplink to the same production core switch The VM which the iSCSI LUN mapped is one VM inside the Nutanix AHV Failover Testing observation Before failover testing by shutdown the node A View in the NetApp System Manager Current iSCSI LUN/Volume is located on aggr1 in Node A and the LUN is online (from the view in in NetApp System Manager View in the VM (the location iSCSI Mapped) The iSCSI LUN is presented in the servers After failover testing by shutdown the node A View in the NetApp System Manager Current iSCSI LUN/Volume is located on aggr1 in Node A and the LUN is online (from the view in in NetApp System Manager View in the VM (the location iSCSI Mapped) The iSCSI LUN is presented in the servers is missing Based on my current setup and connection and testing, why the LUN mapped in the server is missing although when check in the NetApp System Manager, the volume and LUN is online able to failover without any issue? I might need the view and advise on the physical connectivity between the NetApp C250 and the Cisco switch that might be the real cause of the LUN missing due the redundancy setup. Appreciate any view on this matter. Thanks Regards, Zul
