LATX is available to partners; but as far as I understand, the question was about tool available to end users. Support forums are not really new, but apparently NetApp tries to revive them now.

This is the maximum time Windows waits for a disk to recover. Which in case of NetApp means - maximum time to perform takeover if one partner fails. If you set it to 30 seconds, you are solely responsible to ensure that takeover will complete in 30 seconds under any conditions. Default value is conservative, but it ensures that CFO will complete for any system (and if not, this is a bug that NetApp must investigate and fix). I would open case with NetApp support asking them to evaluate your configuration and provide recommendation as to how far this timeout may be decreased. This will keep you supported in case of problems. But I do not hold my breath ...

FAS2240 supports both DS4243 and DS2246, even mixed in one stack. Your message is not an error. Disk autoassignment is possible only if whole stack is owned by one head only. You obviously do not have it. It makes sense to disable disk autoassign - it will not work anyway, so it will stop false alarms.

Well, I guess WireGauge needs update. Do feedback on WireGauge page; the more people complaint the more chances it will be fixed May be you can even file a bug on NetApp tools support site, I am not sure if WireGauge is listed there. I do not quite understand what error are you talking about. It is always better to copy and paste output verbatim.

1. Under Windows I simply do not have any choice. I have shortcut which opens in default browser. And I cannot set Firefox as default browser because it would break far too many sites I use. So it opens in IE. 2. I have workplace that is maintained by central department. I have no choice which versions I may install. I do not have IE8 nor do I have the latest Java. I do not think I am alone. It is appealing to develop for the latest and the greatest versions only, but it is not the end of the world. And to be honest - system manager does not offer so much more functiotnality than FilerView to explain such slowdown ...

aggregate/volume configuration is kept on disks. System will pick them up by scanning new disks. Make sure to rename volumes and aggregates before moving to avoid conflicts with existing ones on target system. If target system has new DOT version, there is no need to downrade.

There is no special procedure. Switch off 2020, unplug shelves, connect to 2040, assign disk ownership. If you have data that you want to preserve and move to 2040, it is better to assign disk ownership from maintenance mode to avoid partial aggregate errors. Otherwise destroy aggregates, zero spares and unassign disks on 2020 before unplugging.

snap restore always restores data into the same volume. If you do not need to preserve snapshot history, ndmpcopy is fine. Otherwise you could vol copy (which copies everything including snapshots) and then do snap restore on destination.

Then it needs to be updated for FAS3200 familiy. I submitted feedback on HA checker page. Using partner with IP address for physical interface should work. If only one system has "partner" interface defined, interface takeover will obviously work in one direction only.

It is something around 2.8TiB if you want to squeeze the last bit out of it. I do not think you really want it - this means no spares, no HA pair and RAID4

Cluster interconnect is configured automatically by system. You should never touch it manually. I am not sure if it is possible to change IP network in case it conflicts with customer LAN; but this is the only concern that may exist.

Only if you add enough disks to grow aggr0 beyond 16TiB limit. Create new 64 bit aggregate, ndmpcopy root volume, mark new volume as root, reboot. It takes 15 minutes at most.

Yes, ndmpcopy can copy single file. It can be used within the same system or between two different systems. Vol copy copies the whole volume with all content. It can be used to copy single file. ndmpcopy /vol/vol1/lun1 /vol/vol2/lun2
