It looks like the retention is fixed with Clustered Mode. We keep 7-mode data for 1 year. Can the retention be changed for Clustered Mode? Also the realtime performance view does not refresh/update for cdot systems - is there anyway to get that functionality back? performance advisor version is 3.3, dfm version is 5.2

Turns out DFM was not collecting all data from the cluster. even though i was able to report on the cluster in dfm and dfm was aware about most of the cluster the licensing was not appearing in dfm and i found an error saying "host login failed" in dfm for the cluster. i went to the options in dfm for the cluster and entered the cluster username and password then refreshed the data and was able to see the licensing details in the licensing report. wfa now displays the cluster in the create nas vserver workflow. thanks everyone

Shailaja, About DataFabric® Manager server Version 5.2.0.16214 (5.2RC1) Executable Type 64-bit Serial Number 1-50-000011 Edition Standard edition of DataFabric Manager server Data ONTAP Operating Mode Cluster-Mode i refreshed the monitoring sample and made sure that completed then i ran a cluster licenses report in DFM but it reports " there are no licenses" so thats probably part of the problem also i set my ocum data source in wfa to refresh every 1 minute- i also verified the success of each refresh cycle. at this time no clusters appear in the "create nas vserver" workflow

thank you, i tried the filter and my cluster didnt display. i went ahead and got some new licenses for my cluster and they are now listed as site licenses with no expiration, i updated my data source acquisition interval to 1 minute and allowed it to run a few times then i tried the filter and the workflow again but still my cluster is not showing.

thanks but i validated i have those licenses installed, i should have mentioned that in my original post they are demo licenses and expire 6/2/2014

All, Just intstalled wfa 2.0 and checking out the workflows in my lab environment. the "create and configure new nas vserver" workflow does not list my cluster in the drop down box. other workflows list my cluster in the dropdown box, for example the "create a cluster-mode nfs volume" lists my cluster in the drop down. Anyone have ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

is it possible to configure a 4 or 6 node cluster using the simulators on vmware fusion? 2 nodes is ok but running a demo on a 4 or 6 node environment would be great..

Hi, I have a few questions regarding autosize. Autosize is being considered for snapvault destinations at my customer. I am trying to find the gotchas to implementing autosize, hopefully i m asking the right questions. if there is anything else i should know about autosize please educate me:) i find the netapp documentation on autosize to be fairly light. 1. A-Sis and autosize = should the max size autosize can grow to be set to the max a-sis size if using A-sis? 2. is there a limit on how many times autosize can execute in a given time period? 3. is there a max number of times autosize can grow a volume? 4. As autosize grows volumes and consumes space from the hosting aggregate, when space is freed in the volume (snapshots rolling off, etc...) if the volume has a guarantee set to none will the free blocks be returned to the aggregate or continue to be trapped in the volume until an administrator shrinks the volume? any help is appreciated, and supporting documentation would be ideal

Hi, Our customer has a few hundred HA pairs of 7-mode, they leverage Operations Manager & Performance Advisor as well as Oncommand Insight (sanscreen). Does anyone know if these products work fully with Cluster-Mode? If there is some documentation discussing the compatibility between these products and cluster-mode that someone can point me to that would be helpful as well... thank you

Guys, this might be an easy one, what unit does the volume:throughput counter in PA measure? The administration guide doesn't give detail on this counter and the operations manager guide says that counter is kb but that doesn't seem right... when i generate graphs from pa on this counter it outputs as volume throughput b_per_sec, is that bits per sec? on the output chart i see one of the peaks at 74150501.55 b_per_sec... just want to make sure i convert the data right... figured one of you might know. thank you Aaorn

Hi we have DFM 4.0.2 running on a red hat box.
