Hi all, my OCUM is configured with a gateway which does not answer to PING (for security reasons) when we restart the VM, there is a check done during the startup, & if the gateway does not answer, OCUM does not start... (no access to the web interface) how would you configure OCUM in order to go in the setup menu each time you start the VM? thanks in advance for your help y

Hi all, Are there any (simple) tricks to have OCUM 6.1 work with NAT IP Addresses ? Let's imagine that a cluster is hosted in the customer Datacenter, thus the real IP addresses are hidden through NAT IPs The OCUM server is in the Service Provider DC and manages to discover the storage with the management IP addresses. But then, OCUM would like to use the storage real IPs & not the NAT ones… Not sure there is a simple way to fix that Maybe OCUM 6.2 will have the solution (if the OVA does not have it, at least, it will be easier to configure RHEL with the OCUM for linux) Thanks for your help! y

Hi all, for lab purpose, I would like to install OCUM 6 & OPM on my laptop, which has VMWare player installed. the OVA import works well, but I seem to have problems with the network configuration, it can only work in DHCP. When I try to setup a static IP, the changes are not commited... Here are the error messages I see: ... Mounting HGFS shares => failed ... Previous configuration could not get restored. Giving up Commit Failed Is there a way to have it work on VMware player? or it just cannot work with VMware Player? for information, I left the default parameters in the VM (1 network interface in NAT) thanks in advance y

Hi all, I cannot find information or accurate description of the kind of data we can get from the asup sent by OCUM... & what would be the difference with with the asup sent directly by the FAS. my first idea would be that the OCUM ASUP sends data regarding: - dataset - policies - ressource groups - scripts but nothing directly linked to the HW or the SW (DOT & cDOT) can you confirm that? next, in order to access the results via the MyASUP page, we just need to use the DFM Server serial number, right? thanks for your help

Hi Keith, We managed to install the server & the agent of SnapCreator Creating a configuration looks pretty straight forward, & I m sure we did enter the right information Creating a schedule is also easy, but when running it, it does not perform the snap job we want (by the way, we are using SC 3.6) I attached the debug_log file so that you see everything. Hi all, I m trying to configure SC3.6 to backup vApps, but there are some issues/questions... - does the Agent require an access to the storage? - is VSC required? - do all bricks need to have the same timestamp? When I create my configuration (around VCD plug-in) & that I run a job, I get an error saying that the plug in does not support the action "snap"... => which actions are supported with VCD ? thanks for your help

Hi all, after upgrading a OCUM platform from 5.0 to 5.1, I cannot login to the web interface with root anymore... Even though, I can log in the NMC... Another user root2 with GlobalFullControl rights had to be created in order to use the web interface again with root privilege what could we have missed? how can we debug that? thanks for your help y

Hi all, What keys does OnCommand use to differentiate systems within each others in the DFM database ? I have the following environment on my laptop: - VM1: Oncommand on CentOS - VM2: SIMBOX 8.1 (Hostname=YVOS & SytemID=4043470224 & S/N=4043470-22-4) - VM3: SIMBOX 8.1 (Hostname=YVOS2 &SytemID=4043470224 & S/N=4043470-22-5) => the S/N was changed using the following command in SIMLOADER: set SYS_SERIAL_NUM="4043470-22-5" VM1 was correctly added to OnCommand (as well as its vFilers) When I try to add VM2, OnCommand states that VM1 is already in the database Is there any way to fix this? thanks
