Hi Team,
I need your help to understand NetApp aggregate configuration; there is space mismatch on GUI and CLI.
Hi @aggregate,
Can you please be a little more specific with the space mismatch that you are seeing?
It should be noted that the CLI units are shown in base-10 (MB/GB/TB) but they are actually in base-2 (MiB/GiB/TiB) which is shown in the GUI..... reference https://kb.netapp.com/on-prem/ontap/Ontap_OS/OS-KBs/What_are_the_units_used_for_capacity_values_in_ONTAP_CLI .
hello:
This problem will occur if data deduplication and data compression have been performed. The following article might be helpful to you.

Best regards.
Hi @chenguanghui ,
Yes this is for older versions of ONTAP, version 9.9.1 brings enhancements "Now you can view the logical used space by Snapshot copies in ONTAP, as well as seeing what your storage efficiency ratios look like with and without Snapshot copies."
Reference: https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-whatsnew/ontap991fo_system_manager_enhancements.html
The ONTAP maximum file limits is lesser than the maximum possible number of files supported by ONTAP for a volume. This video explains the reason why ONTAP has this lower limit on the file count.
Here’s a quick tutorial on how to check system information on the NetApp Support Site.
Learn to correct an error message when ONTAP reports that a volume is out of inodes because it has reached the maximum files.
