CA Spectrum displaying OCUM alerts as Unknown

Hi,

We have NetApp Clusters being monitored using OCUM (7.0) and SNMP traps are being forwarded to CA Spectrum Monitoring Tool. CA Spectrum is recieving the alerts as "UNKNOWN" in its console. We have shared the OCUM 7.0 MIB with the Monitoring team which they have configured in the CA Spectrum tool.

Below are some details for the trap being recieved in CA Spectrum:

This is a known issue which is part of the BURT 1140804

Cause is "snmpTrapOID" is 0.0, seen in snmpv3.

snmpTrapOID

Value: [OID] .0.0

Fixed in upcoming release of UM 9.5, unfortunately i do not have the exact time line of the release, but please watch the BURT.

Hi Thanks for the information.

Unfortunatley we would be managing Clusters with version 8.3.2 or 8.2.2 from OCUM, which I guess would not be compatible with OCUM 9.5 as suggested.

Thanks Dheeraj

Please remember UM 7.0 and 7.1 is coming to end of version support by the end of 2018

Also check to see if "snmpv1" will work with traps instead of using "snmpv3".

Hi Thanks,

With SNMP V1 the source IP changes to local loopback 127.0.0.1 which is not helping the CA Spectrum monitoring.

Regards.
