I have a Fas2020, with System Version 7.3.1.1
I administer with NetApp OnCommand 2.0.2.
A few days ago, my computer updated the Java version, since then, I can't create CIFS shares. Apparently the system created it but when I refresh the page, the share created disappears.
I have tried uninstalling JAVA, then install an old version, but the issue is still there.
Does anyone have a idea?
Best regards,
RGC
Please uninstall ur system manager, download newer version 2.2 and install it. Try turning off ur firewall as well.
Unfortunately, I can't use System Manager 2.2 because my FAS2020 has the 7.3.1 version of firmware. I can't upgrade firmware. The system has some limitation about the number of CIFS shares?
Here is the syntax for adding a share via the console:
for_example > cifs shares -add MyNewShare /vol/vol1
cifs shares -add <shareName> <path>
[ -comment <description> ]
[ -maxusers <userlimit> ]
[ -forcegroup <groupname> ]
[ -widelink ]
[ -nosymlink_strict_security ]
[ -nobrowse ]
[ -novscan ]
[ -novscanread ]
[ -umask <mask> ]
[ -dir_umask <mask> ]
[ -file_umask <mask> ]
[ -no_caching | -auto_document_caching |
-auto_program_caching | -branchcache ]
[ -accessbasedenum ]
I do it and the issue still there
This was meant to get your share added, not fix your java issue.
You should be able to hit filerview on this box if you have it configured.
I assume the problem is not Java, I'm thinking restart the filer
