DFM backup is a snapmirror instead of snapvault

Hello,

We have a list of resources we backup with DFM (Unified Manager). All those resources are being backed up with the snapvault method. Last week I added a volume. The only "weird" thing about this volume is that it has two qtrees instead of one.

Now this volume is being backed up with snapmirror instead of snapvault ?

Why is this ? When the snapmirror was created I though that is was only for the first data sync, but every night it performs a snapmirror instead of a snapvault.

Can someone explain this ?

Greetings, Richard.

What protection policy is attached with the Dataset?

Well, it is a custom made policy, but in the policy there is clearly stated that it is a "Backup" instead of a "Mirror" policy.

Ok, this issue is solved now. The solution was a reboot of the DFM Windows server. After this the warning E-Mails and quota warning E-Mails also started working. I noticed this morning that this also was halted.

So a reboot fixed it.

Greetings.
