If I turn on PCS from a filer's cli, can I also configure OnCommand to collect the resulting info into its data base? It would be nice to have a graphical representation of what a Flashcache card would do for our system.

The counters are call ext_cache if i remember correctly. By default they are not collected as there are no canned view. Pls do create a new view with these counters so that the collections is started.

Would Performance Advisor actually collect any statistics here is only PCS was enabled on the storage controller (implying no physical FlashCache card was installed on the system). My understanding was that PCS data could only be collected for analysis using a certain minimum version of Perf Stat and a particular syntax had to be used in the Perf Stat command to ensure that the PCS data was collected.
