One of my colleagues told me yesterday that with OpsMgr/DFM 4.0, the Provisioning Manager license was now included.
I'm under the impression it's still a separate node license, and that for the 2000-series, you need to purchase the Foundation Pack in order to get it.
Can someone verify either way? Thank you!

That is correct.. It is only included if purchased with one of the SW
packs that include provisioning manager... Or if the customer has a
protection manager license and is using 4.0

Oh... so it's included now if they get Protection Manager? But not with the base OpsMgr?
This is 2000-series only environment... so just with the Base Pack, all they get is OpsMgr, right?
Thanks!

Yes as off v4.0 Provisioning Manager functionality is unlocked if the
Protection Manager license is installed...
Base includes Operations Manager (incl PerfAdv)
Foundation Adds Provisioning Manager
Protection Adds Protection Manager (and therefore Provisioning Manager as
above)
The following link will show you exactly what is included:

ware_packages/kb%20content/FAS2000%20Software%20Pack%20datasheet.pdf
I¹ve attached it to this email as well
Cheers

When talking about new 20x0 boxes, it's all by Packs (and you're absolutely right about it being in the Foundation Pack). If the 31x0 boxes, you might want to do it separately if the customer isn't doing a Bundle.
For existing boxes, you can either sell them a stand-alone Provisioning Manager license or a new Pack (if 20x0) or Bundle (if 20x0 or 31x0).
