Hi,
I just found out that there are several qtrees of few filers don't have the qtree capacity shown in the DFM. I have checked the qtree quotas are set and quota turned on. The DFM version is 3.7.
Any idea?
Regards,
Terrence

Please refer to the FAQ entries related to Quota monitoring:
http://now.netapp.com/NOW/knowledge/docs/DFM_win/rel371/html/faq/index.shtml#_toc_14
Specifically 14.6.
Thanks,
Raj.

Hi Raja,
Thanks for the info. But not much useful. All the qtrees in the filers are set with tree quota and not sm target. Any other idea?

Terrence

Perhaps there is something wrong with the data collection by dfm. Check the "dfm host diag <filername>" for errors.

Greetings Terrence
There is a problem in the 'dfm host diag' output:
XML (http port 80) HTTP POST - Authorization failed
Verify the credentials used for these controllers
dfm host set <hostname> hostLogin=<userid>
dfm host set <hostname> hostPassword=<password>
Rerun 'dfm host diag <hostname>' and ensure XML passes

I agree, get xml to work. Does xml work for filers that report qtree quotas correctly?

Hi Marzec,
Thanks a lot. Problem fixed. It's the XML issue, and also need to correct it in the performance advisor as well.

Terrence

Hi Terrence
Then you can close the BURT that you filed with your updates.

Hi Lee,
Why don't you file a burt so that one of the engineers can look at it.
As people in the community suggested the obvious and know issue that impacts qtree capacity/quotas.
Now this needs more investigation.
