Seems to be working. Just takes about 4x and eventually it works.

Hi,
Glad it started working. This is a feature in Grafana and is provided by the sponsor Raintank, so if it doesn't function again I would follow-up with those teams:

Hi,
i also have the same issue. DOyou know if the transfer of the dashboard is done by the browser or is it done in the backend of the grafana server?
It was working a long time but since a few weeks it stopped. Could it be an outaged Grafana Version (here 2.1.3) ??
Best wishes,
Markus,

Hi,
The bug is in Grafana as deployed on their http://snapshot.raintank.io site. See https://github.com/grafana/grafana/issues/4778 and https://github.com/grafana/grafana/pull/4779.
Once they update their snapshot site it should start working again, so probably a matter of days. An alternative would be to update your onsite grafana instance to 3.0 because this works today.
Cheers,

UPDATE: I upgraded Grafana to 3.0.4 and it's working for me now consistently.
