System Manager 2.0.1 & Snapshot Size

Hi guys, I am coming across a situation where the info in system manager is incorrect regarding snapshot sizes.

When I run a df -g in command line I get the following:

/vol/******/ 5500GB 3741GB 1758GB  68%  /vol/prd_std_T3_b28_01/
/vol/****/.snapshot 5500GB 4726GB  773GB  86%  /vol/prd_std_T3_b28_01/.snapshot

The snapshot sizes are clearly 4276GB big.

However, when I look in system Manager (I am only using as I am trying to powershell some capacity reporting) it is different. Although using the powershell command it is the same output as system manager.

Volume

Total Space:

5.37 TB

Snapshot Reserve:

5.37 TB

Available

Data Space:

1.72 TB

Snapshot Reserve:

0 Byte

Total:

1.72 TB

Used

Data Space:

2.1 TB

Snapshot Copies Space:

6.93 TB

Snapshot Overflow Space:

1.56 TB

Total:

9.02 TB

Any help would be appreciated!

Have you looked at the snapshot sizes?  I have a similar issue where I have very large snapshots (> 1 TB) and the filer reports the size as a negative value.

This throws off System Manager.

Very strange... maybe you can try to re-discover the filer (I tested on two different filer , one with NetApp Release 7.3.4P3 and the other with NetApp Release 8.0.1) but it works fine.

Not sure what has happened, but this error has corrected itself.
