Hi Netapp Team,
I am going to upgrade my netapp FAS to ONTAP9.0, and I need to upgrade the Unified Manager, Performance Manager, VMware VSC, VASA Upgrade to match ONTAP 9.0. I have several concerns about the procedure.
1. What is the best practice procedure to upgrade the components in sequence?
2. Is the cluster/aggr/volume config storage on Unified Manager/VSC? Will there be data loss if I disconnect the VSC/VASA/Unified Manager?
3. In case there is no data loss, when I upgrade/install the new version of VSC/VASA/Unified Manager, will the new component (without any configuration) wipe out the existing data?
I would appreciate if there is some KB/docs telling the technical details. THX a lot.
