I'm trying to use dfm to set up quotas on a filer.
I keep getting the error message and I can't find
documentation on how to fix it. Any ideas ?
lunix23> dfm quota edit -u testguy -h 300000 filer-71:/vol0
Error: There is no quota user named 'testguy'.
DFM is 3.8 and the filer is running a version of 7.3.
The user 'testguy' exists in nis and the filer is configured
to use nis.

Is the user you are trying to edit is already discovered by DFM? You
can verify this by "dfm quota user list ". Only after the
user is discovered, quota edit will work.

You can only edit the quota values on a filer from dfm which is already discovered.
You cannot set new quotas on a filer from dfm.
