Why is "Data Collection" unavailable for cDOT systems within Performance Advisor?

The "Data Collection" option is used not only to define what counters are enabled but also to configure retention periods for specific counters. As you can see below the "Data Collection" option is greyed out and unavailable. You will also notice that my configuration settings seem to be OK. This behavior was happening in a customer environment and I went to test it in my lab and experienced the same result.

Is there something specific to cDOT which is preventing me from enabling certain counters and/or defining my retention periods?

OCUM version 5.2P1 setup specifically for cDOT systems.

Thanks Kevin,

For others, here's some additional reading which  calls out retention and counters.

Hi Chute,

The TR being referenced in your post is a 7Mode only and not for clustermode. As kevin said there is no way to create or modify the following in case of cluster mode.

  1. create new views( custom view creation)
  2. Modify the retention
  3. Modify the Collection frequency
