hi guys,

can a workflow be created to automate the setup process of Cmode controller ?

if yes, help me out with the steps

I'd learnt that only after configuring the Service Processor u can connect to the controller through WFA ...

is this true ?

There are 7-mode day-0 workflows available.

You need to modify these for Cluster mode.

Hi,

i have the same challange:

http://community.netapp.com/t5/OnCommand-Storage-Management-Software-Discussions/Using-WFA-for-setup-a-new-Storage-Controller-cDot/m-p/100058

There is really a need to have cdot ready commands like:

  • rename nodes to the customer requirements

Nodes can be identified by the serial number.

  • rename root aggregats
  • resize vol0 that less than 80% usage of root vol
  • adding licenses
  • Network modification
    • create ifgrps
    • add vlan
    • change MTU anf flowcontroll
    • create broadcast domains
    • create subnets
  • set DNS settings
  • set NTP
  • modify autosupport
  • create data aggregates

best wishes,

Markus,

hi Markusl,

I had to import some modules like "DataONTAP" (powershell) to get the cmdlets for the above tasks.

Am working on it now, ll let you know once i finish the workflow
