Dear Auto Support Gurus,
My security group new policy request all the AUSP (auto support) has to be send out from a traceable user ID.
Would you be kind enough to advice which action should be taken to meet that request?
FYI:
The current AUSP are send out in a format as <filer_name>@domain_name>
Thanks in advance & looking forward to hear from you soon.
Henry

Can you clarify what a "traceable User ID" implications are from an SMTP perspective?
Alternatively, would switching to using HTTPS transport to NetApp be acceptable?

My guess is the request that the SMTP "MAIL FROM:<xxxx>" field be set to something that can be identified.
By setting "options autosupport.from" to the desired identification, the problem can be solved. My understanding is the default for this is "postmaster@<filer's domain>".

Henry,
postmaster@xxx.com is only the default. You are free to make each filer's autosupport.from e-mail address unique.
