SnapCenter 3.0.1 Plug-in for VMware vSphere

SnapCenter 3.0.1 has a new feature, now we have the option to install the SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere on the SnapCenter Server host, instead of a dedicated Windows.  This is a great feature to manage our resources and if we don't want to have a dedicated host just for the plug-in.

In our environment, we have several vCenters, one by location and disposition.  With the SnapCenter 2.0 Server, we currently have one VSC Plug-in per vCenter to manage the VMware snapshots.  

We are looking at upgrading to SnapCenter 3.0, and the question is if we can have only 1 SnapCenter Plug-in installed on the SnapCenter 3.0 server to manage all the vCenters?

With SC 3.0.1 .  https://mysupport.netapp.com/NOW/download/software/snapcenter/3.0.1/

you can install the plugin for vmware on the SnapCenter server itself and use this one to manage all the plugin installed on the Vcenters. You have to register every single Vcenter anyway.

If you are using SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere in an environment where multiple vCenter Servers are joined using vCenter Linked Mode or Enhanced Linked Mode, you need to register one instance of the Plug-in for VMware vSphere with each vCenter Server so that there is a 1:1 pairing between the Plug-in for VMware vSphere and the vCenter Server.

For managing each Vcenter server you need seperate Snapcenter plugin hosts. so its 1:1 mapping with vcenter server and plugin hosts.
