While doing Backups using SMO and Snapdrive we see now and then the following Warning Message :
[ WARN] SD-10015: Snapdrive command "/usr/sbin/snapdrive snap create -fs /DXXX/u01 -snapname dxxx_smo_h_daily_20151009_053621_1_8a9a9ca5504aabb201504aabb7650001_0 -unrelated" generated warning: 0001-904 Warning: Attempting to take a crash consistent snapshot.
Switching to the best-effort mode
What does this Message mean ? Can it be ignored as long as it is not arising regularly ?
Thanks Eric

I'm guessing you're using ASM ?
It means SnapDrive had a problem while trying to snapshot multiple LUNs in a consistency group.
See the Snapdrive documentation: Crash-consistent Snapshot copies
https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1552619/html/GUID-E42D87FB-720D-46F4-9BC9-3F9632C5DB71.html
SMO is designed to fail 'safe'' - the snapshots are probably all good on these backups, or SMO wouldn't mark them as succesful.
I wouldn't be worried about it, but you may want to do a test clone of the DB from one of the backups with the error message.
I hope this response has been helpful to you.
