Snapvault snapshot rollup

We take hourly snapshots of our Informix DB and keep 7 days on primary storage and want to keep 30 days on secondary storage. The problem we are running into is the 255 snapshot limit on the secondary filer. Is there a way to rollup the hourly snapshots on the secondary filer to daily? We use snapvault to the secondary.

255 snaps is ontap limitation but what you can do is have hourly snaps just be on primary, so no snapvault. Then define a daily policy and once a day snapvault the hourlys to secondary. This would give you 255 days on secondary (in theory).

In SC you would simply create two configs one for hourly only on primary and other daily which does snapvault.
