OnTap upgrade from 7-mode 8.1.3. to 8.1.4P6

Have FAS2040 HA and servers with snapdrive ver 6.*. First time planing to do NDU upgrade.

I will appreciate if you can input on this.

Will there be any issue on luns when we reboot the servers first time after the ontap upgrade?

Hi,

You have to check the IMT (https://support.netapp.com/matrix) with the current Hosts or Guest OS, Snapdrive version and the target DOT version.

When done, update to the latest snapdrive version and after do a NDU (software update DOT_VERSION_q_image.tgz on both node and then takeover/giveback on both node).

 

Snapdrive manage only the snapshot creation, not the access lun.
