Hello,
We are thinking about using SMSQL to back up our databases. My question is can you do this without having SQLEnterpirse Edition. The artciles i have read have said that you need Alwayson Availability Groups. Can we use snapmanager and snapdrive with just Standard Edition?

Yes, you can backup standalone SQL server databases (not part of AG/Cluster). For more information, please check the Interoperability Matrix tool to verify your configuration
