Hi I am trying to understand the problem with snap manager configuration wizard. We have WFC & SQL FCI cluster with SQL HA AG enabled on SQL 2016  and snap manager for sql with version 7.2.2P2.

When I launch the snapmanager configuration wizard I recieve below informational message and an error

[info]SnapManager detected AlwaysOn High Availability is enabled on SQL Server instance [X] for specified server [Y].

[Error]Unable to find a valid SQL Server instance. Available SQL Server instances: X

Difficult to tell why it is failing to load the DB information..

Permission issue? database in single user mode?..

my advice is to check the logs in the report folder undet the SMSQL installation path (default C:\Program Files\NetApp\SnapManager for SQL Server\Report) and the event viewer.

share them here with us if you can

Thank you Matte,

We found issue snap manager needed the cluster automation tools once I installed everything worked. Thanks.
