As I understand it, an NDMP backup (using BackupExec - ugh) uses different 'levels' to provide full/differential/incremental backups.
Am I right in thinking that all this does is set an attibute at the file level meaning that this'll be completely pointless when backing up a LUN? What I mean is that even if one single bit changes in the LUN file, the attribute it reset and the whole file will get backed up again.
Just want to clarify.
Many thanks,
Richard
