hi

i wanted to know if the below procedure is possbile.

1. Currently we have a snapmirror job that is from Storage A (Source:Vol1) to Storage B (Dest:Vol1-DR)

2. We break the snapmirror between Storage A and Storage B

3. Create a Snapmirror job between Storage B and Storage C, the volume thats going to be backed up is Vol1-DR

am i allowed to do this? if so is there anything i should be awaare of that i might run into?

thanks

Yes...in fact, you can also have a cascade of an ACTIVE A->B relationship where you have an A->B->C relationship.

For your question, once you break the A->B relationship, the "B" volume (Vol1-DR) is no different from any other R/W volume.
